BJP threatens of toppling Congress’ MP Govt.

Is INC going to loose its grounds in MP as well after Karnataka

A day after the fallout of H.D. Kumaraswamy’s coalition Government in Karnataka, the leader of the opposition in Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly – Gopal Bhargav, has threatened the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh – Kamal Nath that BJP can crash their Government in a day’s time.

For the records, HD Kumaraswamy resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Karnataka yesterday, i.e., Tuesday, July 23, 2019 after losing the vote of confidence in the State Assembly. The coalition Government of Indian National Congress (INC) and Janta Dal (JD) could get total 99 votes as against Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) which got 105 votes.

Addressing the Assembly, Gopal Bhargava said, “Hamare oopar wale Number 1 ya number 2 ka aadesh hua to 24 ghante bhi aapki sarkar nahi chalegi.” (If our No. 1 and No. 2 bosses pass an order then your Government will not last for more than 24 hours.)

In response, Kamal Nath replied, “Your top No. 1 and No. 2 are sensible, that is why they are not giving such orders. You are free to bring in a no-confidence motion.”

Meanwhile, the INC has claimed that BJP can resort to any means for coming to power in States where it is not in power. Kamal Nath took over the office of Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh after INC came to power in December 2018. The BJP’s rule also ended in the States of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh last year. However, in the recently conducted 17th Lok Sabha polls, INC was wiped out completely of all these 3 States.

Besides, Gopal also said that he is shocked over how INC has survived for so long in Madhya Pradesh. In his opinion, INC’s condition is much worse in Madhya Pradesh than Karnataka. Hence, it is very easy to crash them.

He said, “It is a coalition based not on any ideological compatibility or principles, but on greed. The day their demands are not met, the coalition will fall. I believe that the situation in Madhya Pradesh is much worse than that of Karnataka. It is a big surprise that the (Madhya Pradesh) government has managed to stay in power for seven months.”

The opposition leader also clarified that BJP had no role in toppling the coalition Government in Karnataka. he submitted that with every passing day BJP is gaining popularity for its commendable works.

The INC led coalition Government in Madhya Pradesh has 121 seats out of 230 seats. Its supporters include Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Samajwadi Party (SP) and 4 Independent candidates.

What’s happening in Karnataka
Ahead of its Party meeting, HD Kumaraswamy told reporters, “Today, we have called our MLAs to work out future strategies. Our top priority is to develop our party, to get the confidence of the people of Karnataka and how to move ahead at this juncture. We will discuss.”

Talking about future alliance with INC, he said it’s difficult to comment at this moment as they haven’t discussed anything yet.
