Vintage Super Mario Bros fetches 86 Lakh Rupees

How much would a Vintage Super Mario game, in mint condition should cost? well the answer is $114,000 (or almost 86 Lakh rupees). A mint condition – unopened copy of a vintage Super Mario Bros. video game has been auctioned for US$114,000.
The auction has broken the previous record set by a copy of Super Mario Bros. in similar condition that sold for $100,150 at an auction last year.

The game was first released in Japan in 1985 and in North America and Europe in 1985 and 1987 respectively. The game along with its franchise is one of the best selling video games of all times.

A bidder who wished to remain anonymous snapped up the early version of the pioneering Super Mario Bros. game released in 1985 for Nintendo’s NES console during an auction conducted Friday by Dallas-based Heritage Auctions.
