This holiday season the best gift comes with a bow as Barton tries to get back to his family in time for Christmas
Hawkeye, one of the most overlooked Avengers, finally gets its due as Marvel Studios released the Hawkeye trailer and poster on Sep 13, 2021. Based on the Marvel Comics, it is an American television miniseries written by Jonathan Igla, known for writing series such as ‘Mad Men’ and ‘Pitch’, and directed by the duo Bert and Bertie.

While Jeremy Renner reprises his role as Clint Barton/Hawkeye, the series also introduces the audience to Marvel Comics fan-favorite character Kate Bishop/Hawkeye, a 22-year-old archer, who dreams of becoming a super hero, portrayed by Oscar nominee and MCU newcomer Hailee Steinfeld. Florence Pugh is also reprising her role as Yelena Belova who was hired by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine to hunt Baron for his supposed role in killing Natasha Romanoff in the movie Black Widow. Other characters include Tony Dalton as Jack Duquesne, who is Barton’s early Mentor and the superhero Swordsman in the Comics and Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez/Echo: A deaf Native American who can perfectly copy another person’s movements.
According to Marvel Studios, the plot of the miniseries is while in New York City post-Blip, Clint Barton must work together with the young Kate Bishop to confront enemies from his past time as Ronin in order to get back to his family in time for Christmas.
Hawkeye is scheduled to premiere on November 24, 2021, and will consist of six episodes, concluding on December 29. It is part of Phase Four of the MCU.
