Nancy Pelosi become the senior most U.S. Official to meet with Zelenskyy, ever since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022
The Speaker of the United States (U.S.) House of Representatives – Nancy Pelosi pledged U.S. support to the President of Ukraine – Volodymyr Zelenskyy till the “fight is done”.
She made and unannounced visit to Kyiv along with the Congressional Delegation, becoming the senior most U.S. Official to meet with Zelenskyy, ever since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022.
Taking it to twitter, Pelosi tweeted,

She further tweeted,

During the meeting, Zelenskyy conveyed the need for continued security, economic and humanitarian assistance from the U.S. Pelosi informed Zelenskyy that additional U.S. support is on the way, as the U.S. is working to transform the funding request into a legislative package. She also expressed respect and gratitude to Zelenskyy for his leadership and the admiration to the Ukrainian for their courage during the time of war.

The U.S. Delegation will now move to Poland where they will meet the President – Andrzej Duda and thank the Polish allies for their dedication and humanitarian support to Ukraine.
Besides, the Ukrainian Military said that Russia is reinforcing its offensive operations in Eastern Ukraine with weapons and military equipment amid heavy artillery assaults. Airstrikes and artillery fire by Russian forces continue in many areas, from Kharkiv in the North to Zaporizhzhia in the South. Russia’s main target is the industrial town of Sloviansk in Donetsk.
The front-line Ukrainian Defenses are fighting hard with the Russian troops in the Luhansk region. The Luhansk regional administration said that the village of Zolote-3 had been 70% destroyed by Russian fire. There have been intense gunfight in the nearby region of Orikhovo. The towns of Severodonetsk and Lysychansk had withstood 6 massive artillery shellings each. In Southern Ukraine, the Russian troops are trying to establish control over all of the Kherson region and preparing for offensive action towards the cities of Mykolaiv and Kryvyi Rih.
