South Korean Defense Ministry spokesperson Boo Seung-chan said in a briefing that South Korea will send non-lethal military supplies to Ukraine
South Korea has announced to send non-lethal military supplies worth U.S. $ 800,000 to Ukraine to help defend its sovereignty from Russian invasion.
The supplies include bulletproof helmets, tents, blankets, bedspreads, non-perishable military food kits, first aid kits and medicines. Earlier in February 2022, South Korea had announced that it will not send lethal support to Ukraine.
Korean Air will also temporarily suspend all passenger and cargo services to and from Moscow and Vladivostok until the end of April 2022. Cargo flights that stopover in Moscow are included in the suspension. Korean Air will also re-route its flights to avoid Russian airspace, citing operational challenges and safety concerns.
Flights from Seoul to Europe will be rerouted over China, Kazakhstan and Turkey, which would extend flight times upto 2 hours 45 minutes. Flights from eastern areas of North America to Seoul will also be rerouted over Alaska and the Pacific Ocean, adding close to 2 hours for some flights.

Zelenskyy has also released a video message addressing the Russian soldiers. He said in the message, “Russian conscripts! Listen to me very carefully. Russian officers! You’ve already understood everything. You will not take anything from Ukraine. You will take lives. There are a lot of you. But your life will also be taken. But why should you die? What for? I know that you want to survive.”
Separately, he also thanked Russians who are not afraid to protest and are raising their voice against the invasion. Zelensky also spoke directly about Maria Ovsyannikova, the Russia Channel One employee who held an anti-war sign, to interrupt one of Russia’s major state television broadcast news programs in prime time.
In other development, the Government of United Kingdom (U.K.) received more than 43,800 applications within the first five hours of launching its “Homes for Ukraine” website. Each household offering space or a property to Ukrainian refugees will get £ 350 a month, tax-free. They will not be expected to provide food and living expenses but can choose to offer this. People who wish to offer a rent-free space in their home or a separate residence, for at least six months, can register their interest online.
