Apparently the Jet was truing to target the command and control center of the drones. The tweet above is first in which Israel has openly acknowledged its confrontation with Syria. Syria state television later reported a much bigger escalation with possibilities of more than one Israeli aricraft being shot down and possible on ground fire exchanges that caused sirens being sounded in northern Israel. Explosions could be also heard in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley region near the Syrian border.
