2019-nCoV (Wuhan Corona Virus) has been widely reported to have a mortality rate of 2%, i.e. only 2 people of every 100 are reported to suffer fatalaties. In our point of view the figure may be completely wrong.
With little or no medical guidance, from various news reports and quarantine restrictions we can tell few things about the Virus
- The incubation period us under 15 days (quarantine period) i.e the number if days Virus may take to manifest itself inside an infected individuals
- The infected individuals my take a month or more to recover or suffer worst fate. People above middle age are particularly vulnerable
- We really dont understand and the mechanism of vial transference
As of Feb 10 morning total dead were 910, while those who survived the virus were 3342. This makes the virus killing upwards of 21% of people infected.
At this rate this is one of the most dangerous Virii ever encounter by Human race.
The only good sign is that the rate of new infections seem to have stabilized in China, or at least that’s what Chinese want us to belief. But to see this as just a Chinese problem will be a gross understatement, for this is one time when whole world needs to tackle the problem – together.
