Source:SCMPMi Feng, China’s National Health Commission spokesperson, told press that measures taken to control the spread the deadly virus are showing clear results. As per the commission the proportion of critical patients was continuously dropping as both the preventive as well as remedial procedure were working.
However for the Hubei province – extreme measures are still being placed. All villages in the outbreak’s epicenter have been locked down, with only one guarded entrance to check all incoming and outgoing traffic. Also a personal space of 1.5 meters has been ordered for all citizens i.e. they should avoid coming any closer to each other.
The World Health Organisation (WHO), meanwhile, remains cautious. In one of the statement the organisation praised China for buying time for rest of the world to get its act together, almost implying that we may still see worst of the outbreak to follow.
