Union Science Minister propagates unscientific myth

In a self humiliating statement  Union science minister Harsh Vardhan on Friday claimed that cosmologist Stephen Hawking once said the Vedas have a theory that is superior to Albert Einstein’s groundbreaking Mass–energy equivalence equation, E = mc2

The fact that there is no such record of any such statement by Stephan Hawking or the fact that Vedas do not have any theory about Relativity as described by the scientific equations did not stop the minister to make mockery of India’s scientific achievements at 105th Indian Science Congress.

Most likely the miniter took a fake (or at least a fan) page by name of @hari.scientist in the following quote

Its almost criminal to talk about a fake news in a gathering of scientists by the person who holds purse for all the scientific research and development of the country. M

The real Stefen Hawking, in his last post before death was fighting against privitasation of Health care (NHS) in Britain

and we are sure the esteemed minister will be against the idea of a government controlled heathcare, instead he would, as in budgetary proposal would want universal health insurance – which is sure to make private healthcare in India very rich
