Election 2019

Prime Minister of Pakistan sees better chances of peace talks with India if BJP wins elections

Pak likes BJB over Congress !!!

The Prime Minister of Pakistan – has said that there will be better chances of holding peace talks and resolving Kashmir issue with India, if Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) wins the General Elections 2019.

He believes that if the next Government is formed by the Indian National Congress (INC), it might be too scared to hold discussions with Pakistan, fearing backlash from the right wing.

He said, “Perhaps if the BJP – a right-wing party – wins, some kind of settlement in Kashmir could be reached.”

Imran Khan mentioned that he is determined to dismantle all Pakistan-based terror groups in the country and that the Government has full support of the Pakistan Army. This would also include terror groups in Kashmir. He also added that it is the Kashmiris who suffer most when armed terrorists from Pakistan come across the border, leading to intervention by Indian Army.

Besides, he also said that in order to bring out 100 million people from poverty, it is critical for Pakistan to have good ties with its neighbours including India, Afghanistan AND Iran.

Speaking about cracking down JeM, he said, “We have taken the religious schools of these groups under state control. It is first serious effort to disarm the militant outfits.”

The Imran Khan’s statement has caused a stir amongst various political parties in India.

The Former Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir – Mehbooba Mufti tweeted, “Bhakts scratching their heads & at wit ends wondering if they should praise Imran Khan or not.”

Another Former Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir – Omar Abdullah tweeted, “Just imagine what all the Chowkidar handles would be doing to @RahulGandhi & the Congress right now if Imran Khan had endorsed RG as PM in these elections? Who is the “tukde tukde” gang now?”

For the records, the tensions between the two nations flared up after the heinous Pulwama terror attack which killed more than 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel in India. The attack was organised by Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM). This was followed by a surgical airstrike by Indian Air Force (IAF) destroying a JeM training camp in Balakot region, killing more than 250 terrorists.

Further, both the countries engulfed into an aerial combat during which IAF Wing Commander – Abhinandan Varthaman shot down a U.S. manufactured F-16 jet, deployed by Pakistan. He had to take an emergency landing and was captured by Pakistan only to be released by Imran Khan, within 60 hours.
